Do you want to change something at mod level or do you plan to create your own WCS missions or campaign or do you simply want a look behind the scenes? Then WCS Base Extract is a good start to first unpack all WCS content very easy and very fast. It supports the original VP's with the officially WCS patch 1.1.0.7822.
Correct, especially for the whole WCS VP base. Maybe
this
helps a bit.
It uses my own VPU library i wrote because i wanted a commandline-based VP unpacker, but all what i found was a sourcecode which i can't compile because the author gave no information which compiler/IDE was used. And the next point is, there exist no single VP unpacker which is capable to restore date and time from the files in a VP. That's the main causes why i wrote my own VPU library. Then i wrote several tools with the VPU library. One of them is this WCSBAE here with GUI for unpacking the complete WCS base and for the script jobs i wrote a fast and flexible commandline-based tool called WCSVPU. There exists also a third tool for the betatesters so they can unpack very easy our WCSD mod just with executing the tool.
