crippled/filthy/unclean in-game font issue

Hi all,
first of all: Great game! My deepest respect.

On my PC the in-game font is a little bit crippled with tiny lines around the letters (see screenshots). Any suggestions?

P.S. I have not changed the font size in Win 7 x64 (ClearType is activated; deactivating doesn't change the issue)
