Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick won't respond during game.

Hi guys and thanks for what seems to be a great game! Unfortunately my joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D USB) doesn't respond during the game at all. The joystick is recognised in the launcher no problem and calibrates fine but I can't get anything out of it in the game. The F2 menu in the game shows options to change joystick sensitivity and dead spot settings and some of the controls are set to use axis X and Y by default but I just can't ever get a response from the joystick anywhere within the game.

Please help me as soon as you can. I am so eager to play this game its not funny but I can't bring my self to use the keyboard lol.

Sorry I forgot to mention I am running Windows 7

Solved. I installed the patch and went to "Game Controllers" in windows, selected the joystic/Advanced and where it says "Select the device you want to use with older programs." I pulled the drop menu down and selected my joystick. I'm not sure which one of these fixed it but it worked
