Extreme 3D Pro

I'm having an issue using the Extreme 3D Pro in the game. I'm able to set the controls up fine in the options menu for yaw and pitch on the x and y axis of the joystick. But, when I actually get into the game, the ship won't turn at all. I was able to set the throttle to control the throttle and the z-axis to control roll, and both of those work in-game.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.
