I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS-X joystick that is recognized in the launcher, but when I go to the in game options the game does not recognize any input. I can bind keyboard keys, but both buttons and axis inputs from the joystick are ignored. I have tried every USB port on my computer without success. In game I can only use keyboard and no joystick input is recognized.
Have you tried switching to 4 axis mode (press HOME button so the red led lights up instead of green). I have this joystick and it works fine in Win XP as well as in Win7. Also be sure that the switch PC/PS3 is in correct position.

I solved the problem by running the Thrustmaster control panel, clicking the "advanced" button and choosing the controler when asked "Select the device you want to use with older programs".
