Thank you Saga team for this staggering piece of work - can't imagine how much of your time this represents, and you chose to share that time investment with us - unbelievable.
Now, a question for the community. Saga runs fantastic on my system, but when I have V-Sync enabled and comm-videos play the game starts stuttering. When FPS is displayed, the count is usually fluttering between 59.9 and 60 as it should. When a comm video comes up it goes bananas and becomes a blurred mess. I think its rapidly oscillating between 60 and the low 50's...in any case gameplay becomes juddery until the comm video ends.
Now, the easy solution is to turn off V-Sync, in which case everything is smooth at all times...but then there's tearing and tearing drives me up the wall too....I can always turn off comm videos in HUD options. But my WC nostalgia asks that I don't if at all possible.
.
Forcing V-Sync at the driver level while having it switched off in the launcher has the same effect. Activating Triple Buffering (does that even work in OpenGL?) doesn't help either.
So I was curious if anyone had a similar issue and was able to solve it by some means other then switching off V-Sync or turning Comms Videos off in the HUD Settings...
I settled for keeping comm videos off...I miss seeing the work the team did on some of these faces but screen tearing is the VG equivalent of nails on a chalkboard for me...
