The lag is awful! I can't shoot anything like this! and these pirates in the prologue take forever to gun down even when I can!

Have you downloaded the asteroid patch?

What system are you running on?

My I3-3100, 8gb memory, nvidea gti-550ti 1mb had no trouble running it without patch

laptops like to throttle back their processing power till they need it to save battery power(my laptop gives me a minor lag spike every once in a while when i play any 3d game) if your laptop has performance settings now is the time to learn them

Asteroid patch? Not heard of that one. Are you referring to the patch on the site's download section?

I've not had any problems but wouldn't expect to with a 2 grand Desktop. :D

I recently came into some money by pushing relatives down the stairs. If you've got cash to burn, the specialist companies like Alienware offer some interesting technology (side-effects may include spontaneous maniacal laughter), but frankly it's a bit of a waste. A 1k computer is more than sufficient these days to run anything and everything.
