View the models (VP files) was created by Herr_Koos
Hi all,

I downloaded the Model Viewer to have a peek at your fantastic ship models, but I can't quite get it to work properly. It appears to want .vp files, so I pointed it at hermes.vp, but it only loads surfaces or wireframes, no textures. Some of the bigger ships refuse to load at all.

Am I doing something wrong?

What you need is latest PCS2 build. You will also have to extract model files at the very least.

Thanks Tolwyn. Could you maybe elaborate a little? Maybe put together a very short tutorial if you have time?

Just a quick update: I managed to extract the model files from hermes_models.vp. I then opened these using PCS2. It loads everything perfectly, with textures. The models just appear to be a bit low-resolution compared to how they look in-game. Are there high-res version available in another file, or do I need to change settings somewhere?

I am on vacation so you will need to have some patience. It all comes down to savng models in collada format (pcs2 supports that now) and then importing those models into a 3d application of your choice.
