Wing Commander Saga saw approximately 50k downloads in 24h

I always thought there was a big demand for space sims. Fortunately WCS was made by true fans of the genre and we didn't end up with a crappy/shallow consolized version of a game we used to love. I just hope that game developers will see that demand and maybe we will see new Wing Commander/X-Wing/Tie Fighter/Freespace (take your pick) in the near future.

Congratulations to the team for producing a product that matches any game company product and better than most of them.

Fifty thousand downloads in 24 hours is awesome; that might make EA perk its head up and resurrect the franchise in order to create a couple of new Wing Commander products, hopefully for the PC and not the game consoles.

Having played this for more than 12 hours now, all I can say is WOW! This is an amazing accomplishment for an independent, non-corporate group of dedicated enthusiasts. Where WC3 engaged the player through cinematics and mission branching, WC Saga has drawn me in through the complexity of the compelling story line and the realistic dialogue. The attention to detail that has been shown in developing this game is quite impressive. Major cudos! Here's to many more days of 50K+ downloads in the future... assuming that the mirrors can handle the pace :^)

Well, being the perfectionist that I am, I replayed several of the missions to get better outcomes :^)
