later on in this mission where you're left with the Battleaxe and the rescue pods from the ships that were destroyed, the Kilrathi launch 2 cloaked missiles at the Battleaxe and the task is to destroy the missiles before they hit the battleaxe. Only problem being that the missiles show themselves briefly and I cannot see any way of destroying them, have tried various times to do so and always end up with the same result, one destroyed Battleaxe, thus resulting in not being able to continue the story once you get back to the Hermes. Is this a bug in the game? Has anybody else encountered the same problem? And what's the best tactic to destroy these missiles?

Common question round here. As I said on the other thread, I suggest hanging back by the cap ship you need to protect and shooting the Skimmers down with IR missiles when they decloak. IR missiles provide an easy lock on and it only takes one to down a Skimmer. Also changing the difficulty may help your allies destroy the enemy ship launching these things a bit quicker.

the funny thing for me was on the first run through for me on that mission as i'm leaning on the AB like a noob trying to ride to the rescue and watch the kinney die i was thinking to my self "uh oh i just realized what kinney sounds like" then "NAW they wouldn't" then "crap they're almost dead and i'm to far away if they say oh 'my god they killed kenny' I'm so gonna" and just then the kinney explodes and assassin shouts"OH MY GOD THEY KILLED THE KINNEY!"

You ether half to die and/or get to the losing debriefing screen five times for the mission to be considered as failed. If you just lose the primary objective and Esc out of the mission is does not count.

The skippers appear and give you plenty of time to take them out before re-cloaking. Use glide if you can (not sure what ship you're, i forgot) and try to blast it from the side. I mean if you're doing this part of the mission enough times to where it's asking you to skip you might as well uninstall because this mission is easy compared to some of the others. Also, skipping is unsatisfying. I guess it's cool if you're an under achiever.
