Thrustmaster T-16000M: rY axis issue

Hello and kudos on making such an interesting game. Unfortunately, I've encountered a problem with my controls. I'm using a T-16000M joystick and have remapped the turn (yaw) command to the rotational rY axis, because that's what rudder is usually mapped for in flight sims. However, the game doesn't give me a clean turn around the vertical axis, but instead a combination of turn (yaw) and bank (roll). Here's what it looks like:

In the video, I just used the rY axis and nothing more. I don't get this effect in any other game, so I wonder if there's a way to setup my joystick controls within Wing Commander Saga, so that they work properly?

Yeah, WCS/FSO behavior is weird when you are use to proper flight sims. I'm not sure how much can be done, you can try messing with the ingame settings, but it looks you tried that already.

I did look into the game settings, but as far as I can tell there was no way to recalibrate the axis or whatever. So I was kinda hoping for some "official" tech support from the devs. Please don't tell me nothing can be done.

Well, the devs don't come here all that often, so I tend to provide tech support in the best of my abilities

Joystick configuration/calibration is kinda out of my league unfortunately. That being said, you might have better luck asking at the Hard Light Productions forums , in the Freespace Open tech support subsection . There's a lot more people there using all sorts of joysticks, so they might know a proper work around.

Interessting, i haven't see this as a problem before, for me this behavior is normal.

Well, I mostly use the rudder for fine aim adjustments and it throws me off that I can't make the crosshair go where I want it to. For me it's killing a major part of fun and I don't think I'll keep playing WCS if this issue is not resolved.

Man, this is getting super tiresome. I'm hearing that more & more these days. If you still want to register at HLP, you could attempt to contact or have someone contact an admin through the #hard-light IRC channel at esper.net, or I could toss a message towards someone. What was your forum name going to be? Same as here?
