Darkest Dawn Characters
The expanded roster for the Darkest Dawn campaign — the final chapter of the Terran-Kilrathi War.
Crush
Wing Commander and squadron leader. A seasoned veteran who carries the weight of every pilot under his command. Decisive, respected, and utterly uncompromising in the cockpit.
Phalanx
A disciplined, by-the-book officer who believes in formation flying and mutual support above all else. Phalanx’s wingmen survive because he never leaves anyone behind.
Greywolf
A grizzled veteran nearing the end of his career. Greywolf has seen more combat than most pilots can imagine, and it shows in the lines on his face and the precision of his flying.
Little John
A towering physical presence with a gentle demeanor off-duty — and an absolute terror in the cockpit. Little John flies heavy fighters and bombers with surprising finesse.
Codiene
The wing’s medic-turned-pilot. Codiene transferred from medical corps to the flight line after watching too many pilots come back in body bags. Now she ensures fewer of them do.
Psychopath
The callsign says it all. Aggressive, reckless, and terrifyingly effective. Psychopath racks up kills at a rate that makes command nervous — but results are results.
Avatarr
A quiet, almost mystical presence in the ready room. Avatarr seems to possess an uncanny sixth sense in combat, anticipating enemy maneuvers before they happen.
Honeybear
Don’t let the callsign fool you. Honeybear is a seasoned combat pilot with a knack for electronic warfare and sensor operations. The friendly exterior masks a razor-sharp tactical mind.
Problem Child
Talented but troubled, Problem Child has a history of insubordination and disciplinary issues. When the missiles start flying, though, there are few pilots you’d rather have on your wing.
Mastermind
The wing’s unofficial tactician. Mastermind lives for the planning phase, crafting mission profiles and contingencies. In the cockpit, those plans translate to devastating efficiency.
Nails
Hard as the nickname suggests. Nails is a pure fighter pilot — no fancy moves, no showboating, just relentless, grinding pressure until the enemy breaks.
Bloodbath
A bomber specialist with a grim reputation. Bloodbath has put more torpedoes into Kilrathi capital ships than anyone else in the wing. The Kilrathi have learned to fear that callsign.
Hellspawn
A former test pilot who transferred to combat duty for the adrenaline. Hellspawn pushes airframes to their absolute limits and beyond, pulling maneuvers that shouldn’t be possible.
Venom
Cold, calculating, and utterly lethal. Venom approaches combat like a surgeon — precise, methodical, and without a shred of mercy.
Ranger
A scout specialist who excels at deep-space reconnaissance and patrol missions. Ranger’s situational awareness is legendary, and her reports have saved entire task forces.
Hermes Control — Lt. Cmdr. Sweeney
The calm, professional voice in every pilot’s ear. Lt. Cmdr. Sweeney runs the Hermes combat information center, coordinating strikes, managing the battlespace, and keeping pilots alive through sheer force of competence.
Captain Moran
Commanding officer of the TCS Hermes. Captain Moran is a career naval officer who cares deeply about his crew but understands the terrible arithmetic of war. His decisions will shape the fates of everyone aboard.
Vice Admiral Rumley
Flag officer overseeing the Hermes battle group’s area of operations. Vice Admiral Rumley is a strategic thinker playing a long game, and the pilots of the Hermes are pieces on his board.
