There is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel!

By the end of next week, we will have finalized 48 of the missions from the main campaign, leaving only the final two climactic missions. In addition, we are also remastering and upgrading the original prologue missions to be released as a second, brief campaign as a part of the full Saga package. Beside that, we are finishing working out a few issues with the code, and of course we will resolve any issues that come up as we finalize the missions. We are just as anxious to be finished with the project as you are for us to be finished, but we are making sure to be careful and not take shortcuts on these final missions as we come around the bend on the last stretch to the finish line. So, while we do not yet have an exact release date because we cannot foresee what issues may come up as we make these last missions and code refinements, we are confident in stating that in a matter of weeks, Saga should be ready for launch.
After ten years of work, the end is indeed near!

Quote : Also, have you considered re-releasing the prologue first as a teaser before the completion of the real campaign?
Since the upgrading of the Prologue missions will be the last work that we do, that wouldn't make any sense. Even if we delayed everything concerning the main campaign now to release the prologe earlier, that wouldn't make any sense either since there's not that much to do for the main campaign anymore and the other items on our list need to be checked for both.
Just be patient, it's already in sight :)
Wooohoooo!!! ;-) Great news! Even if I still have to wait some more time for the Mac version...
At least I will try it on Parallels since I discovered that version 7 finally runs stable on my system and has a far better gaming performance than VMware.
I even got WC from GOG just to see how it looked and felt in those ancient times... ;-) (I had an Amiga then, so I never played WC 2 and up, now I can play at least the DOS versions... ;-))
Thanks in advance for all the incredible work you have done! You have raised high expectations but I don't doubt that you won't fit them! :-)
Great job everyone! I think this mod is going to be an example to follow for a lot of fan-communities, with the dedication and the quality only the best can achieve (and maybe an example to EA if they want to restart the games).BTW, I cracked a smile when I saw one small detail in one of the screenshots: TCS Bradshaw... heh!

WC3 was probably the first video game I ever played and brings back memories from my childhood lol, I always wished I could replay it but I doubt I would be able to cope with the graphics from like 15 years ago. Good thing we have this gorgeous revisit to the wing commander universe to play soon!
