Beta Tweaks

It's been four hectic weeks for us. Our testers were looking for problems and tweaks that have to be done. A few voice lines still need to trickle in, but for the most part, we have our game now. It is stable and it is fun. Right now, we are in the process of finalizing the game, but small changes are still coming up. We're really trying to polish individual elements until they're really fun.
We got a lot of great feedback from our testers. The game has made significant progress since the very first beta: all placeholders have been replaced with final assets, we've done additional work on the AI, overall balancing and autopilot behavior.
One of the things we are really excited about is our music. It shouldn't come as a suprise that a good soundtrack makes a big difference, it adds to the overall atmosphere and helps accent the player emotions. Jeff Ball and Tim Janssens absolutely nailed it.

Great guys, have you already connections to some game magazines, so that as much people as possible can play the game. I dream of 1 million downloads, so that EA gets interested in the wing commander brand again

Since you're saying that all of the "placeholde r" assets are gone, does that mean there's new models for the Kilrathi fighters?Just curious because the Kilrathi fighters I saw in the trailer looked like updated Prologue ships.

Currently we are testing on Windows only. But there will be OS X and Linux releases. Those might be a few weeks later than the Windows release though since we need to adjust a few things in the engine and the launcher (nothing major) and test that for a week or two before releasing it.

Hey, I am myself a father (46 yo) and I wait this game more than my 16 yo son. I will -not try but- fully play this so awaited game. If it is just as good as the prologue it will be marvelous. And I expect it to be far better than the prologue !
