Our old poll asked which new feature you are looking forward to the most. "Widescreen support" won our tally, "high res cutscenes" and "better AI" came in second and third.
Since Wing Commander Saga takes place during the Wing Commander 3 timeline, you can bet there are a lot familiar vessels along the way. That's where our poll this week comes in. There are a lot of possibilities: Bhantkara-class, Dubav-class, Dukara-class, Fralath-class, Fralthi II-class, Hvar'kann-class, Kamrani-class, Ralarrad-class, Ralaxath-class, Sha'kar-class. About the other poll..I was mostly looking forward to the cockpits you\'ve been making. I don\'t remember exactly, but it seems someone said there will be no cockpits in the finished game? Is that right?
Correct. Still, that work was not a waste of time, since these are being used for our cutscenes.
We had to cut them since the engine still doesn\'t support them and won\'t for quite a while.But rest assured we did enough to make sure you see in which fighter you\'re sitting.

It is a pity that the release is not expected cockpits. I hope the rest of the gameplay will not suffer =)Sorry for my poor english
OK guys, why did so many vote for the cruisers, especially the Fralthi II? ^^ What\'s so cool about it? Tell us :) We\'d like to know! :)
Here\'s hoping the engine supports cockpits one day, the ones the saga team has built are so beeeeautiful .... I\'m playing WC3 and 4 at the moment and am less inspired to play through 4 due to its lack of \'pits -- strange but true.
We did our best to make the HUD look as good and as \"Wing Commander 3\" as possible.We simple didn\'t want cockpits which don\'t look good due to lack of lighting and shadowing capabilities of the engine and end up being more in the way and blocking your view than helping you and giving you information.
We especially didn\'t want to cut down on the feature rich FS2 HUD with all it\'s great information that it\'s giving you.
So this was in the end something we were sorry about cutting, but we feel it was the best decision we could make at this point in time.

I Bought a new pc to run this game flat-out, Ive always been a WC fan. I just got wc1 & wc2 working last night using Dos box and started the craze al over again. What you guys are doing is amazing. I only ask to be able to fly the hornet in combat on saga, could you make this happen. :grin
Oh and I loved the Fralthi Class in WC1 Because it looks Badass.

@ CURRYMONSTERYou should face the fact that the events of Saga take place at the time of WC3. So you cannot expect the game to feature such an old and totally outdatet fighter. As far as I know, there is already a Saga-mod being developed, that actually includes the Hornet.
Thats Cool, Fair price to pay for playing the best Wing Commander game Ive ever played. If you dont ask you dont know. The work you guys have done is really cool and im Greatful for the feedback and the honor of playing such an amazing game! :grin Wing Commander Forever!

@ CURRYMONSTERJust log in to www.hard-light.net and follow Kevin Caccamo´s comments about his Landreich campaign. You´ll also find some pics of your beloved Hornet there. Just look out for WCS and you´re almost there.
Plus, the Kilrathi would bleed badly if one was actually lucky enough to destroy one. :grin
