Know Thy Enemy: Kilrathi Capital Ships - Entry 9: Bhantkara

For today's update we would like to showcase our final version of the Kilrathi Bhantkara-class heavy carrier. These mainstay fleet carriers are the backbone of the Kilrathi Navy. Massive and heavily armored, these carriers utilize its full wing of fighters, bombers, and support craft to the utmost against the Confederation Navy. Any major attack, fleet action, or campaign will most likely be launched from one of these carriers. Even though it only has mediocre shielding and armament, these carriers are almost always seen in large battlegroups with four to six supporting capital ships. In addition, these carriers outnumber their Terran counterparts by a wide margin.

It seems bigger and more menacing than I remember from WC3. I get the idea when I look at it that the WC3 version was not properly scaled in gameplay. I noticed that the guns are arranged differently than in WC3. Did you do some study to find the most advantageous positions to place its turrets? Also it seems that it is back to the original 8 turrets as some of the concept shots from earlier, if I recall correctly had significantly more defensive weaponry.

Quote : am, when you guys r going to update de database in Kilrathi Capital Ships and put this monster there? so, is better than the lexington-class ah? mmm i cant wait to make a torpedo run...Soon. Currently I am evaluating our options at upgrading our CMS (content management system). That step will most certainly require a template update as well.

Are those tiles bumpmaps only? Very impressive. And is the hangar cross-section still square, it always bothered me in WC3 that there was a hexagonal opening, but then after a very ugly transition came a square-cut hangar. First i thought it was due to technical limitations, but the Kilrathi Dreadnought didn\'t seem to have problems with it.
