Wing Commander IV Tech Demo

For this week's update, the WC Saga team would like to highlight our WC4 mission branching demo. Mission branching will be a part of the WC Saga main campaign. In order to test this function, Tolwyn has put together a few test missions that loosely remake the first few missions of Wing Commander 4! You can follow either the Confed or the Border Worlds paths, and several new models are included in the release, like the Banshee, Avenger, Vindicator, Bearcat, Dragon, and the Intrepid herself. Hi I just want to say that I have always been a huge fan of the Wing Commander universe. The fact that you guys are putting this stuff together I find really great. It is really unfortunate that this sci fi epic was so utterly destroyed by the terrible movie that was released. I also find that while Profecy was a good game it just felt really disconnected with the rest of the series in some ways. I am a huge fan of the era you guys are choosing to highlight and bring into a modern light. It would be nice to see more large fleet actions that were impossible to do with the older games. I did play through the \"prologue\" and I saw some of this which I was impressed with. They did a bit of it in Profecy too but those weird alien ships just kind of look like garbage to me. It doesn\'t have the same impact of like 3 Confed destroyers going up against a bunch of Kilrathi capital ships. That would be badass.

I\'m really looking forward to playing the full game once it is out and I\'m curious about how much it will cost? I would also like to know if you guys are planning anything else in the series because I have some interesting ideas if you are ever looking for fan input. For example I think it would be really interesting to do something based on some of the events that occured prior to the original Wing Commander but with a modern outlook. Maybe even a game that somehow involves other aliens like the Firekkans? Or something that puts you in command of a Capital ship?!?

Either way I\'m just really excited about playing your game and I want to know as soon as its ready so I can relive my 12 year old-hood 10 years later haha. All the best!

Currently our only goal is to finish what we\'ve started. We do not know, what we\'ll be working on AFTER Saga is shipped.
