Now that I've finished the game and started lurking/reading through the forums a bit, I thought I would make a topic so that everyone can voice their opinions on what they would realistically want to see have happen in the next release of the Wing Commander Saga. A project that is this successful just as Babylon 5 definitely deserves to have its work continued and improved, even if the devs retire from the team and pass it on to new devs. I'm sure this has already been thrown out more than once, and the devs definitely have something in store for us. I would just hate to see it end here, so I thought I would throw in my 2 cents and see what the devs think and everyone else has to say about it.

If you had to choose one of these below for the devs to concentrate on realistically, which would you want the most?:

1. Multiplayer Mode and Missions or Dogfighting
2. Kilrathi Ships Flyable and/or a Kilrathi Campaign
3. Another Terran Campaign (perhaps one set in the timeline of WC4), Border Worlds campaign maybe
4. More flyable Terran ships from other WC games, or make all existing Terran ships flyable
5. Add the bug race and ships from WC Prophecy
6. Make a few missions where the Behemoth dukes it out with a few cap ships... just for fun and non-canonical purposes (I'm sure with the Editor this can be done right now)
7. Other (specify)

I'm pretty sure we're not going to be seeing any new content from the devs. After so much work put in, I think they're effectively "retired".

Out of everything though, I want multiplayer. Might be a little tough to get a game going but with these forums and CIC, you could probably round up enough people for a game any time.

Thank you for your feedback - it is much appreciated. As far as the core team is concerned, our primary goal is to push out Unix versions, add capital ship debris and, maybe, optional generic cockpits. Beyond that, there are currently no plans to expand the story.

What i really miss is the implementation of post-processing effects (e.g. Bloom). It is hard-coded, so we need a patched wcsaga.exe.
I think, the game would be look much nicer with some bloom and desaturation.

YES, that's exactly what the game needs. It's currently at 99,98%, cockpit and debris would add the necessary 0,02. :D

It's okay. ^^ Just keep in mind that in December 2012 the world is coming to an end. Ha, who knows, maybe it'll be the Kilrathi. :P Anyway...if you can make it until this literal "deadline" I'd be happy. For the time left then. :lol: :D
