Crash on loading screen

Hello,

I have a CTD problem.

I can start the game via launcher and directly via exe. But when I try to start a mission, the loading screen appears but nothing more happens. After 10 - 15 seconds the game CTD.

I tried with the old exe and the patched one.

I already installed the 12.3 drivers for my ATI 4870 X2.

What helped was to start the game with the debug exe, but cannot continue after mission 29 with that one.

Not sure if this will help, but I had similar crashes that appeared to be caused by enabling VSync + Triple Buffering. Make sure those are switched off. Also, the first few times the game launched it crashed at the main menu every time. I tried windowed mode, which worked, then swtiched back to full screen, and somehow that solved my problem. Weird..

Same here but I bet you got crossfire running? I disabled CF and now it's running without any problems even with vsync on/tri filter.

I disabled crossfire and Catalyst AI but still the same problem.

Weird, works for me. You got the latest driver (12.3)? Cause I got no problems anymore...

Thanks for the tip Braineh, I was having the same problems and deactivating crossfire took care of it. Sorry you're still having issues Knarfe.
