Prologue Cap Ship Missles

Am I just getting old compared to when I played all the originals when they came out or have I totally lost how to take out missles.
Did not get to start playing really until last night but I can not get past the last of the prologue missions without enough missles getting thru to knock the Wellington down to 11% or so. The dogfights before or after the others in the wing cant seem to leave something for me to finish off but here I am just left with watching the pretty explosions as the Wellington gets annihilated.
Loving it so far otherwise except for once in while the game saying it cant write a file do to hard drive being full but I have over 1TB open not worried about that though clicking retry sends everything on its way.
Wish the missles were that easy.

ImRec missiles will make short work of torpedoes that get to close

Imrec works well , but I am the kind of person that knows if you use your missles on something that you coulda taken out with guns , then the mission will screw you at nav point 4 when you need to take out something bigger.
I am sure you know about the 'b' key that targets them . ( I didnt ) the first hint/ tip on starting the game shoulda been RTFM.
but back to the thread I found that things were much improved aiming wise when I reduced the Deadzone on my stick to 1 or 2 and had the sensitvity maxed . Also changing the Hud / cockpit layout colour, helped me find the reticle a bit better . I have gone a bit old school with the Radar green and the main circlular HUD as a dark blue , ( shows out the reds better I think) I also changed my sheilds to white and the targets toan orange . ( i often got confused with who was hitting who more

Yes got both B down or the button that I also have it mapped to on my joystick. I did not think about adjusting the dead zone will have to try that when I get home from work tonight. The Missiles I Agree on especially after seeing the missles but not what fired them the pilot should guess that there may be something larger coming that they may be more use on.
