False positive virus?

First off I'd just like to congratulate you on a successful release - I'm really looking forward to try it out!

During the last 25% of the install the final pack file verifies ok however at around 74% the install stops due to a fatal error. Eset SmartSecurity (latest version & definitions) is detecting that wcsaga_sse2.exe_tm contains the NewHeur_PE virus...

Do you know if this is a false positive? I downloaded via the torrent provided on wcsaga.com.

Check the provided checksum. if that one is valid, you're safe. Otherwise, to make sure use one of the mirrors instead of torrent.

Yes, it is a known issue. ESET does detect our EXE as false positive. We should probably contact them sooner or later.

Thank you both for the quick replies - I'd have thought you'd be out celebrating by now!

FYI: the md5 checksums matched (phew!) and I've submitted the file to Eset with a note that this is more than likely a false positive.

I could post the MD5 sum if you want, but basically any iteration of ESEI software will detect wcsaga.exe as a potential threat.

Yep. That's the md5 checksum for the darkest-dawn-setup.zip.
