Promotion/Rank Guide?

Well.....after 2 playthroughs I have yet to see anything higher than Captain. I have achieved the majority of medals and ribbons, and already have the xml detailing the requirements for the few that I have missed.

Rank standards, however, are another matter. I was able to locate what APPEARS to be the rank table in the core code. But it is clear by the numbers, which start at 399999992 for 1st LT and only increase by a value of 1 point for each subsequent promotion.........that WCSAGA obviously follows a different formula.

Anyone with information/insight to share would be greatly appreciated.

Disregard the whole question.....it's a moot point. Apparently Captain is as high as it goes, and the promotions are scripted at pre-determined points (Torgo 3, Alcor 2). It would be a good idea for a future patch/update to allow a merit based promotion system with a Lt. Col cap-off similar to WC1 and it's expansion......but this isn't the thread for pitching ideas like that.

Some of the awards are scripted, yes whereas others depend on your success/failure ratio during a mission arc,
